MAREBITO SAKE

ローマ法王献上の日本酒

Nakamura Shuzou Brewery Marebito sake. Marebito expresses the god who blesses people, surpassing the limitations of time and place. In ancient Japanese thought, gods resided in all things and seasonally as well as at special times in one's life, there was and still is a tradition of meeting the gods. As part of this meeting, it ws customary to make an offering, preferably of rice or o miki (sake of the gods). The only rice suitable for such an offering came from places that had auspicious holy names such as Mikohara, meaning 'field of god's child'. This rice was then processed using the finest traditional sake brewers and put in a vessel adorned with the leaf of a god tree. Only such a world, where each bottle is made by hand and filled the finest sake of the gods, can bring forth a sake as fine as Marebito. It is our hope that Marebito be dispersed throughout the world and that cups are raised to the gods who can realize our dreams for peace and happiness. 'Grateful for your kindness and precious gift. Please accept my best wishes: May the Peace of Christ and every Happiness fill your heart this Christmas and the New Year! + Alberto Buttari de Castello, Apostolic Nuncio. Vatican Pope, Hakui Mayor
